Canine Good Citizen preparation-Training for the Canine Good Citizen test not only enhances your dog’s behavior but also strengthens your relationship and opens up new opportunities for both of you. We guide you and you become the trainer. Investing time in this training will lead to lasting benefits for you and your canine companion. The Canine Good Citizen test consists of ten basic exercises that demonstrate your dog’s ability to behave appropriately in different social scenarios. The test is designed to assess a dog’s general behavior, temperament, and obedience, ensuring they are well-mannered and stable in both public and private settings. The exercises include tasks such as walking on a loose leash, sitting politely for petting, staying in place, and greeting strangers calmly. Although the CGC is not required for service dogs it proves to be a great foundation for such an important role as a service or therapy dog. We will also go over laws and regulations for service animals so that you have the information you need. It's recommended your Canine companion should be at least a year old and already have a basic obedience foundation.
